Demolition and Hand Sawing

Saw the line first, then take the concrete out

Saw the line first, then take it out: patio slabs, openings and selective demolition, with hand saws for the tight spots a big saw cannot reach.

Why the line gets cut before anything gets broken

Breaking concrete with a hammer doesn't stop where you want it to stop. The crack runs past the mark, the edge you meant to keep spalls, and the slab next to it takes the hit. Most demolition damage is a line that was never cut.

So we cut it first. A sawn line gives the break somewhere to end, and it lets the piece come out in sections you can lift, instead of a pile you have to chase. That's the whole method, and it's the same whether it's a patio in a Huntsville backyard or a slab inside a building.

Hand saws for the places a big saw won't fit

Demolition and hand sawing are both on our list because the job rarely arrives in a size that suits one machine. A tight corner, a cut next to a wall, a spot you can't get a rider or a track into: a hand saw goes there.

We're a full-service concrete contractor working across Alabama and the surrounding states, so the same crew can saw the line, cut the opening and carry the pieces out. One call to (256) 489-7514 covers it.

Tell us what stays. That's the part that decides how we cut, more than what goes.

What a finished removal looks like

A Google reviewer, Laurlee Lau, called us about getting a concrete slab patio removed. We cut the slab, took the concrete out, and she said she'd recommend us. That's the shape of a good removal: cut, lift, gone.

We always leave the work area clean and free of damage. The pieces go, the edges you wanted to keep stay.
